Gregory W. Slayton
President and Chief Executive Officer
of ClickAction Inc.
The Wall Street Journal recently called Gregory Slayton “one of Silicon Valley’s best young CEO’s.” As President/CEO of ClickAction (Nasdaq: CLAC) since January of 1998, Mr. Slayton took a dying, low-tech company and turned it into a high tech leader in the e-marketing industry. Since his arrival ClickAction’s stock price performance has been one of the best on the Nasdaq and the Harvard Business School has written three cases on the successful turnaround.
Mr. Slayton, an honors graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School and a former Fulbright Scholar, has been running companies in Silicon Valley since 1994. He also serves on the Boards of Quantum (the Fortune 200 disk drive leader) and InTest Corp. (Nasdaq: INTT). Mr. Slayton is also co-chairman of Silicon Valley Bush 2000 on behalf of George W. Bush.

Joe Cortale
Executive Vice President
Worldwide Sales and Business Development
Joe Cortale joined ClickAction Inc., a leader in e-Marketing services
in January 1996 when the company was MySoftware. As Vice President of
Business Development, Joe successfully built a new division focused on
driving revenues and profits via strategic partnerships which included
Netscape, Concentric Networks, Hewlett-Packard, Pitney Bowes, Intuit,
US WEST, Ameritech, Bell South, Sprint PCS & AT&T.
Prior to ClickAction,
Joe served as VP of Sales & Business Development with PaperDirect, a direct
marketing company focused on the small business market. While at
PaperDirect,
Joe developed strategic partnerships with recognized companies including
Microsoft, HP, Apple and Adobe. Joe's efforts contributed to revenue growth
of 75% annually for 3 consecutive years and the successful acquisition
of the company.
Prior to
PaperDirect,
Joe worked with Aldus Corporation. As Eastern Region Manager, Joe was
responsible for the Eastern United States and Canada team, and delivered
over $60 million in revenues.
Joe holds a BA from
LaSalle University.
Sharon Chiu
Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Operations
Sharon Chiu has been with ClickAction since 1990, and was promoted to
CFO in April 1998. Prior to that she served in various financial positions
including Vice President Finance, Director of Finance, Controller, and
Manager of Accounting and Operations.
Ms. Chiu holds an M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana
and a B.A. in Business Administration from National Taiwan University.
George Grant
Senior Vice President, Marketing
George Grant is the senior vice president of Marketing at ClickAction. Prior to ClickAction, Grant co-founded ConnectedMedia Solutions, an Internet professional services firm, which specialized in one-to-one relationship management solutions for electronic commerce and knowledge management web applications. Grant has implemented e-business vision requirements, e-marketing requirements, business rules, content analysis and technical training for several large enterprise clients. Specifically, he has managed the implementation of relationship management and personalized content solutions for clients such as:
BroadVision, Jupiter Communications, Shop at Home, AT&T and Standard and
Poor's.
Prior to ConnectedMedia Solutions, Grant co-founded AlphaBlox Corporation a Java-based component technology for rapid development of analytical web applications. Grant was also the managing director of Dow Jones financial information services group. At Dow Jones, he was responsible for expanding the business in fifteen countries in Asia Pacific and doubling gross revenues for the division to over quarter billion dollars within a five-year period.
Grant is a member of the Bay Area Knowledge Management Roundtable and a past executive member of the Financial Information Services Division of the Information Industry Association. He has served as a member of the Data Security Committee of the American National Standards Institute. Grant has a B.S. degree in Economics and Computer Science from California State University.
David Paterson
Vice President Product Development, Quality Assurance and Technical
Support
Davey Paterson joined ClickAction in 1988 as Director of Macintosh Product
Development. He was promoted to Vice President Product Development in
January 1998. Mr. Paterson is the most tenured executive at ClickAction,
having also served as VP of Quality Assurance and VP of Technology. Prior
to ClickAction, he was Director of Engineering for Apple Computer.
Mr. Paterson holds an M.B.A. and an M.A. in Electrical Engineering from
Cambridge University, England in addition to a Masters of Computer Sciences
from the University of Pennsylvania.
David holds a B.A. in Media Studies from Fordham University.
Kentyn Reynolds
Chief Technical Officer, E-mail Relationship Management
Kentyn Reynolds is the Chief Technical Officer of E-mail Relationship
Management (ERM) for ClickAction. Prior to ClickAction, Reynolds worked
for ConnectedMedia Solutions, an Internet professional services firm,
which specialized in one-to-one relationship management solutions for
electronic commerce and knowledge management web applications. Reynolds
was the lead technical architect and mentor for BroadVision sites including:
Pitney Bowes, Audible.com, AT&T, Jupiter Communications, Shop at Home
and eRugGallery.com.
Reynolds is a part
instructor and developer of educational materials for Rogue Wave Corporation.
Reynolds has extensive experience in developing and project managing enterprise-wide
applications (web-based commerce, knowledge management) for a variety
of platforms. He also holds US patents in the area of advanced pattern
recognition, content matching and digital signal processing.
