System Administrator, UNIX/Sun Solaris

ClickAction a fast-paced production environment located in Palo 
Alto, CA. Systems are SUN models up to Enterprise 3500's. 

Responsibilities:
Installation, maintenance, and upgrade of computer hardware and 
software. 

  • Controls user access and passwords.
  • Trains personnel on system usage.
  • System Administrator support for Enterprise Class business systems with a projected uptime of 99.7%
  • Must integrate well with other groups.
  • Must be able to stop one project and start on another depending upon priorities.
  • Will report to the Sr Director of Internet Systems or his designate.
Qualifications:
  • Enterprise email system experience greatly desired.
  • Solaris 2.X system administration experience required.
  • Skilled with Solaris system monitoring and performance analysis
  • Oracle experience a major plus. (SQL, SQL*Net, SQL*Plus, DB backups, DB System analysis)
  • Experience with webservers (NES, Apache, etc.)

write scripts in some administrative language (Perl, a shell). 

Is comfortable with most aspects of UNIX systems administration;

Strong inter-personal and communication skills; training users 
in complex topics, independent problem solving; self-direction. 
Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate 
them. Ability to oversee novice system administrators or operators. 

A solid understanding of a UNIX-based operating system; 
understands paging and swapping, interprocess communication, 
devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts 
("inode", "superblock"), can use performance analysis to tune 
systems. 

Required Senior Background: More than five years previous

Customer Service Manager

Description:

Responsible for managing all aspects of Customer Support, including inbound/outbound customer service, customer loyalty programs, direct sales and technical customer support, while promoting exceptional service, and operating within the framework of established company policies. Also direct a team of outsourced technicians responsible for technical support. Maintain communication between customer service onsite and outsourced technical support group. Work with Product Management to train tech support and direct sales personnel on new product releases. Manage onsite service team whose duties also include presales and direct sales of software and services. Develop promotions to increase direct sales and upgrade sales to customers via phone and website. Duties include: Managing the Customer Service function, managing outsourced technical support, managing the revenue of the direct sales organization, ensuring service level goals are met, while championing high levels of service. Analyze Customer Service Satisfaction Results and pro-actively develop actions to improve. Assist in coordinating and implementing programs when necessary. Communicate, interpret and ensure compliance with procedures and goals. Follows standard Human Resource practices including staff development, monitoring performance and communicating expectations and results on a regular basis. Perform planning, budgeting, implementing and maintenance cost for the team and travel offsite to customer and company meetings.

Requirements:

College degree preferred. Minimum two years supervisory experience. Minimum four years customer service or direct sales experience preferred. Two years experience as Technical Support Manager preferred. Experience with Windows based PC's, including general office software knowledge preferred. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Team player preferred.

Sales Engineer-West Coast

Assist the sales force in qualifying and closing new business opportunities.
