ClickAction To Extend Permission-Based Relationship Management to Mobile Devices with BEA WebLogic Server and Nokia WAP Server

PALO ALTO, Calif. (April 19, 2000) - ClickAction™ Inc. (Nasdaq: CLAC) announced plans to extend its eMarketing service with permission-based wireless applications using BEA WebLogic Server™ and Nokia Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) server. The ClickAction wireless eMarketing service, ClickAction Wireless Relationship Management (WRM), will be available in a web-hosted and enterprise version and is targeted for initial availability this summer.

ClickAction WRM will extend its existing eMarketing services with a set of permission-based wireless messaging applications enabling mobile customers to opt-in for personalized timely content, reminders and offers via cell phone, PDA and/or pager from ClickAction's clients. Mobile users will be able to act on this information immediately. ClickAction WRM includes smart personalization, data exchange, inbound processing, real-time tracking and reporting, permission profiling and web-based campaign management.

"ClickAction Email Relationship Management has proven its tremendous power for our clients and we are expanding these applications to the wireless market," said Gregory Slayton, president and CEO of ClickAction. "This is the ultimate relationship management tool: the information you want, when you want it, in the format you want, on the device of your choosing. ClickAction has a large client base and has been at the forefront of providing personalized opt-in email marketing. With the introduction of wireless relationship management applications, ClickAction will enable our clients to stay in touch with their customers anytime, anywhere. That should be a significant competitive advantage."

To enable its clients to send timely, personalized content and allow them to do business at any time, ClickAction will power its Wireless Relationship Management service with the Nokia WAP Server and BEA WebLogic Server. The Nokia WAP Server complies with the WAP 1.1 specification and sets the industry milestone with its security option, the first commercially available implementation of the Wireless Transportation Layer Security (WTLS). Together, the Nokia WAP Server and BEA WebLogic Server provide a complete end-to-end infrastructure for the development and deployment of transactional mobile applications.
